MASON ROBINSON

Mason Robinson, CEO and Head Coach at SHOCK THE WORLD, understands that in order to achieve greatness you have to start with a good foundation and work hard to perfect it. Mason grew up in Somerville, NJ. As a youth, Mason tried his best to excel in every sport he played. He belonged to recreation and school teams in 4 different sports: track & field, baseball, basketball, and wrestling. However, it was being a part of the football team he loved the best. At the age of 5 he set his sights on the NFL.

Throughout his athletic career Mason has accumilated several accolades. In high school he ran the 100 meter in 10.51, awarding him the title of fastest sprinter in the state of New Jersey. It also landed him in the top 10 fastest times in the United States. Mason attended Rutgers University where he was elected Captain of the football team and led them to their first Big East conference championship in school history.

Mason is a determined individual. He made a pledge to himself to make it to the pros and no matter what happened, he would not give up on his dream. While playing Rutgers football, he needed reconstruction surgery on BOTH knees after tearing BOTH ACLs, which sidelined him for 2 seasons. Through all this, Mason kept a positive attitude.

After his last season at Rutgers, Mason tried out for all 32 NFL teams. He stood out as a defensive back in the rookie mini camps with the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was called back by both teams. NY Jets coach Rex Ryan spoke about Mason in an ESPN interview. In his second preseason game against the New England Patriots, Mason intercepted Tim Tebow.
